For Unix platforms you have to download the shared.tar file and the platform specific files:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 (x86_64)	rhel6.tar

Unix installation instructions:

change rights of covinst.sh with command chmod u+x covinst.sh
extract tar archives with command tar -xvf shared.tar and tar -xvf PLATFORM.tar
use script covinst.sh for installation (run ./covinst.sh in the DIST directory)
an appropriate environment is created in ~/.cshrc during installation

Beginning with revision r6046, the format of the configuration has changed, please update your config.xml using the convertconfig-tool. Also don't forget to update your user configuration in ~/.covise (Unix) or \Documents & Settings\<user>\Application Data\covise (Windows).
