Abstract
The High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) intends to support
academia and research in the field of parallel programming. The basis for
this are leading edge technology hardware, supportive development software
and the support of users in writting parallel programms or migrating from
serial codes to parallel ones. During the last year HLRS has introduced its
new platforms (Cray T3E-512LC and NEC-SX4) in two workshops to the user
community. In this upcoming workshop the focus is now on parallel programming
strategies. The intention is to give an overview of the developments in
the field and provide the user with the basic knowledge for porgramming
parallel supercomputers.
